In a video of the Special Committee of the Ireland House on the COVID-19 Response, legislators are questioning the methodology of how COVID-19 deaths are being counted.
During testimony, health officials admit over and over again that people who test positive with COVID-19, but die of other causes like heart attacks, car crashes, suicide, etc. are counted as a COVID-19 death.
The legislator at the end confirms with the health officials that these are the numbers that health officials share with the media.
