Winter Weather Advisory for Flathead County

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Flathead County, valid from March 20 at 6 PM until March 22 at noon. Snow is expected, with the likelihood of minor impacts being greater than 60-90 percent. Total snow accumulations above 4,000 feet could reach 7-14 inches, while below 4,000 feet, there may be a trace to 1 inch of snow, particularly on unpaved surfaces. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
This advisory covers regions in Idaho, including Eastern Lemhi County, Northern Clearwater Mountains, and Southern Clearwater Mountains, as well as multiple areas in Montana such as the West Glacier Region, Bitterroot/Sapphire Mountains, and Lower Clark Fork Region. Mountain pass impacts are likely at Lookout, Marias, Lolo, and Lost Trail passes.
With expected winter traveling conditions, residents and travelers should exercise caution while driving, as minor inconveniences to normal activities may arise from the snow.
