Winter Weather Advisory for Ravalli County

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Ravalli County, effective from 6 PM Friday until noon Saturday. Snow is expected, with 60-90 percent likelihood of minor impacts from the snow. Total snow accumulations could reach between 7-14 inches above 4000 feet, and winds may gust as high as 35 mph. Below 4000 feet, areas may see a trace to 1 inch of snow, particularly on unpaved surfaces.
Areas impacted in Idaho include Eastern Lemhi County and the Northern and Southern Clearwater Mountains. In Montana, the advisory affects the West Glacier Region, Bitterroot/Sapphire Mountains, and the Lower Clark Fork Region. Mountain passes such as Lookout, Marias, Lolo, and Lost Trail may experience significant impacts.
Traveling conditions are expected to be challenging, resulting in minor inconveniences to normal activities. Drivers should use caution while traveling during this period.
