HELENA, MT – Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, in collaboration with Uprising Wyoming, FYN Global, and the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office, is set to bring the 2025 Greater Rockies Immersive Training (GRIT) Conference to Bozeman, scheduled for April 28-30. This annual conference is a pivotal gathering of professionals from the Rocky Mountain region, dedicated to addressing rural challenges and forging solutions to combat human trafficking and exploitation.

The conference will provide a platform for learning and direct application of strategies against human trafficking, featuring survivor testimonies, breakout sessions for hands-on training, and networking opportunities to facilitate interagency and cross-state cooperation. A simulated operation is planned for the last day to allow participants to apply their newly acquired skills under the guidance of national experts.

The training is geared toward professionals who work with survivors of sex and labor trafficking, such as law enforcement, prosecutors, educators, social services, and more. Members of the public are encouraged to register if they work with survivors or potential victims.

Attorney General Knudsen emphasized the significance of the conference in building essential partnerships across state lines to tackle this grave issue. “I am pleased to partner with Uprising Wyoming to bring the GRIT conference to Montana this year. The training will undoubtedly give attendees more tools and expert guidance to fight human trafficking across the state and region,” he stated.

Elizabeth Scaife, founder and CEO of FYN Global, highlighted the unique challenges of the Rockies region, such as its vast geography and limited resources, which complicate the fight against traffickers who operate without regard for borders. “We designed GRIT with this challenge in mind. By employing nationally recognized trainers and conference organizers with a focus on learning and skills retention, attendees are offered a top-notch conference experience,” Scaife explained.

The GRIT Conference will also focus on multidisciplinary approaches to tackling human trafficking, featuring experts from law enforcement, healthcare, and advocacy groups to provide a comprehensive toolkit for professionals. Further details on the conference schedule and list of speakers can be found at Uprising Wyoming’s official website.

This conference is part of Attorney General Knudsen’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the fight against human trafficking in Montana, which includes past legislative campaigns and educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness and curbing human trafficking activities across the state.
