Kalispell Announces Spring Cleanup Event for Residential Customers

The City of Kalispell has scheduled a Spring Cleanup Event specifically for its residential rollout customers, offering an opportunity to dispose of certain household items and yard waste. This annual event is set to commence on May 12 and will run on normal trash collection days throughout the week.

Eligible Items for Collection

• Household items
• Bagged and bundled yard waste
• Cardboard boxes
• Materials leftover from fall cleanup

Preparation Guidelines

• Yard waste must be either bagged or bundled, and placed in the regular collection spot.
• Cardboard should be positioned next to the rollout carts.
• Note: Bulk items like furniture and large appliances are not eligible for pickup during this event.

Important Guidelines

• Ensure all items are contained properly and meet the weight and dimension restrictions (no more than 25 pounds per item).
• Brush and tree trimmings should be no larger than 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet in length.
• The event excludes the collection of hazardous materials and bulk items.
