Belgrade, MT — Governor Greg Gianforte, alongside U.S. Senators Steve Daines and Tim Sheehy, officially opened Amazon’s latest operational facility in Belgrade, Montana, last Friday. This facility represents a $27 million investment in the area and is anticipated to significantly impact the local economy by creating numerous jobs for residents.

The new 50,000-square-foot warehouse serves as a delivery station within Amazon’s distribution network, tasked with handling the ‘last-mile’ delivery of packages. It is the third such facility that Amazon has established in Montana, with previous locations opened in Missoula and Billings. This site is capable of processing up to 11,000 packages per day, with plans to achieve same-day delivery services for the local community.

Since 2010, Amazon has invested over $110 million in Montana, creation of more than 500 jobs, and support for over 1,000 independent small and medium-sized sellers in the state. This latest investment adds to a growing list of significant business developments in Montana under Governor Gianforte’s administration.

“Montana is open for business, and Amazon’s continued investment in our state is proof of that,” Governor Gianforte stated during the opening ceremony. “This facility will create more opportunities for Montanans, support small businesses, and strengthen local economies in the Gallatin Valley and beyond.”

Senator Steve Daines highlighted the remarkable growth of Amazon from a simple online bookseller to a major fulfillment network capable of same-day delivery. “To have a fulfillment center right here in our backyard in Belgrade says a lot about the opportunities that lie ahead,” he noted.

Senator Tim Sheehy expressed pride in Montana’s business environment, affirming, “This investment will unleash prosperity for more Montana families, connect Montana businesses to global markets, and send a clear message that Montana is open for business.” Amazon Site Leader Tom Garcia added, “Bringing Amazon to Belgrade isn’t just about fast delivery, it’s about investing in the community and empowering our employees.”

The Belgrade Amazon facility underscores a broader initiative by the state of Montana to attract and support significant business expansions. This project is part of a series of strategic developments aimed at boosting local economic growth and employment, following successful openings of major operations by companies such as VACOM, Brixtel Defense, Coca-Cola High Country, and Aurora in different Montana locations.
