High volume of welfare checks and suspicious activity noted.
Early Morning Incidents
Missoula Police Department (MPD) and Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) were active in the early morning with incidents including shots heard in Southgate Triangle and various disturbances and suspicious activities across multiple neighborhoods. Burglary alarms were reported in Rose Park and Westside.
Morning Reports
There was a notable increase in assistance-required calls in Franklin to the Fort and drug-related incidents in the same neighborhood. Traffic related incidents were also recorded with several moving violations across different areas.
Afternoon Activities
MPD and MCSO continued to respond to a mix of non-criminal and criminal incidents. There was a steady demand for officer assistance and medical standbys, notably in Westside and Moose Can Gully. Hazards were reported in several locations including Heart of Missoula and Westside.
Evening Overview
Evening hours saw ongoing assistance and patrol needs. There were multiple instances of suspicious activities and welfare checks required in Westside and other areas. Hazards formed a considerable part of the evening’s incidents.
Late Evening Developments
The day ended with continued reports of suspicious activities and a few instances of hit and runs, particularly in the Grant Creek neighborhood. MPD and MCSO attended to several emergencies including assisting fire services.
