Missoula County
Frequent disturbances and suspect camping spread throughout Missoula.
Morning Highlights
Missoula Police Department (MPD) and Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) units had a busy morning with multiple instances of disorderly conduct, thefts and necessary medical standbys. Particularly noteworthy are three instances of arson in the Westside area, which have been noted for further investigation. Domestic animal complaints and a series of ‘Medical Standby BLS’ incidents point to a diverse range of public safety engagements from early morning into the late evening.
Afternoon Incidents
Missoula’s afternoon was marked by various assistance and suspicious activities, with frequent calls regarding ‘Camping in the City’ and ‘Suspicious Activities’ in regions like the Heart of Missoula, Westside, and the University District. A sequence of accidents also kept MPD busy, particularly in the Riverfront and Franklin to the Fort neighborhoods, where multiple ‘Accident – Injury’ reports were logged.
Evening Concerns
As daylight dwindled, so did the nature of incidents in Missoula. Highlights include a ‘Hit and Run’ in the Heart of Missoula and various ‘Camping in the City’ complaints across multiple districts, emphasizing the ongoing urban camping issues facing the city. Notably, the evening saw urgent ‘Assist Fire’ calls in Westside, pointing to active and potentially hazardous situations managed by combined public safety forces.
