Governor Gianforte Names Five to State Boards
Appointments include University of Montana student to Board of Regents, four commissioners to Fish and Wildlife panel

HELENA, MT — Governor Greg Gianforte announced Tuesday the appointment of five individuals to key state boards, including a University of Montana student to the Board of Regents and four commissioners to the Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Carter Jasper of Missoula, a political science student at the University of Montana, was named to the Board of Regents of Higher Education. The Saint Regis High School graduate will serve through July 1, 2026.
Four appointments were made to the Fish and Wildlife Commission, with terms running through January 2, 2029.
Ian Wargo of Kalispell was appointed as Region 1 Commissioner. Born and raised in Kalispell, Wargo works as a civil engineer and holds a guide license in Montana.
Brian Cebull of Billings will continue serving as Region 5 Commissioner. Cebull co-founded GTUIT, LLC, and serves as an executive in the oil and gas exploration industry.
Bill Lane of Ismay was reappointed as Region 7 Commissioner. The Livingston native owns and operates a ranch in eastern Montana.
KC Walsh of Martinsdale will continue as Region 4 Commissioner. Walsh previously served as Executive Chairman of Simms Fishing Products, the Bozeman-based company.
The Fish and Wildlife Commission oversees Montana’s fish and wildlife resources and sets hunting and fishing regulations. The Board of Regents governs the Montana University System, which includes the state’s public universities and colleges.
