Elevated Early Morning Activity; Multiple Fire Assists Noted

Early Morning Incidents

Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reported two instances of suspicious activity shortly after midnight. Meanwhile, the Missoula Police Department (MPD) was busy with multiple fire assists and medical transfers in the Westside neighborhood. Notably, three instances of ‘Assist Fire’ were documented at Westside, coordinated by MPD. In the University District, incidences of driving under the influence were also recorded during the early hours.

Morning Reports

The morning hours continued with a pattern of urgent responses including numerous welfare checks and medical emergencies across various neighborhoods. Missoula’s MPD and MCSO were actively engaged in responding to accidents with injuries in the University District and handling disturbances and law enforcement needs in the Heart of Missoula. Additionally, ‘Court Papers Served’ emerged as a frequent activity, particularly involving MCSO across multiple areas.

Afternoon Overview

Afternoon brought an extended array of incidents, notably several ‘Structure Fires’ and ‘Wildlands Fires’ which prompted coordinated responses from MPD and MCSO. A surge in ‘Accident – Injury’ reports was evident, especially in neighborhoods like Westside and Franklin to the Fort. The latter also observed a series of theft and shoplifting incidents.

Into the evening, the intensity of activities hardly waned with multiple robberies in Rose Park and continuous responses to burglary alarms in various regions. Significant to note were the ‘Driving Under the Influence’ occurrences persistently noted in the Heart of Missoula. Fire-related emergencies remained prevalent with several structure fire reports towards the late evening.
