Early Morning Activity Dominated by Traffic and Patrol Incidents

Early Morning

Early morning incidents primarily featured traffic-related events and patrol checks across several neighborhoods. Notable incidents included a traffic hazard in Northstar and a motor vehicle accident in River Rock. Elsewhere, law enforcement conducted several patrol and security checks, responding particularly to areas like Valley Grove, Elk Grove, and Wylie Creek Estates. A notable sexual crime was reported in Northstar and handled by both Bozeman Police Department (BPD) and Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).

Morning

Activity continued with various traffic stops, particularly in Gallatin Heights and Spanish Meadows, which also saw a variety of other incidents including welfare checks and a district court proceeding. Another motor vehicle accident occurred, this time in Gallatin Center, drawing responses from multiple agencies. The neighborhoods of Bear Creek and 4-Dot Meadows saw multiple patrol checks and follow-up visits.

Afternoon

The afternoon registered a higher number of traffic stops across neighborhoods like Elk Grove and Spanish Meadows. Traffic crimes were reported in Valley West and Peakview. Additionally, Gallatin Heights experienced a theft and Northstar reported noise complaints. A domestic incident in River Rock was among the heightened law enforcement activities.

Evening and Late Evening

Evening hours were marked by continued patrols and traffic stops with a notable increase in patrol checks, particularly in Spanish Meadows. Incidents of 911 hang-ups and a trespass case in River Rock were handled by GCSO. As the night progressed, the frequency of patrol checks remained high, indicating an ongoing emphasis on monitoring key areas.
