Early Morning Incidents
MCSO handled several incidents including a suspicious activity report with no specified locations and public hazards in Franklin to the Fort. MPD responded to a theft in Grant Creek, assault in Heart of Missoula, and a burglary in the Southgate Triangle. Various other incidents relating to noise, disturbances, and needing police advice were observed across multiple neighborhoods.
Morning Overview
The morning hours saw a continuation of miscellaneous calls from welfare checks to accidents with no injuries and several needs for officer’s advice, particularly concentrated in Franklin to the Fort and Heart of Missoula. Notably, multiple reports of accident injuries were confirmed in Rose Park, urging careful evaluation of traffic safety in the area.
Mid-Day and Afternoon Activities
In the afternoon, a noticeable increase in suspicious activities was reported, especially in neighborhoods like Captain John Mullan and Westside. The afternoon also recorded incidents requiring medical assistance and several cases of person needs assistance. A worrying number of disturbances and cases requiring immediate law enforcement were scattered throughout Missoula’s neighborhoods, ending with a tragic series of accident fatalities in Captain John Mullan.
Evening Incidents
The evening brought about more severe incidents, including a wildlands fire in Grant Creek and other locations still awaiting identification, reported by MPD. Drug-related arrests and accidents with injuries persistently marked the evening as well, with an accumulation of medical calls, particularly in Westside.
Late Evening Recap
Late night hours didn’t see any drop in activity, with continued reports on thefts, suspicious activities, persons needing assistance, and a notable accident fatality in Captain John Mullan. Calls for disturbances remained high, indicating a restless night for many Missoulians.
