Missoula County

Early morning disturbances and welfare checks predominant

Early Morning Incidents

Missoula’s early hours were troubled with various disturbances and calls for assistance. The Missoula Police Department (MPD) and the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) were particularly active in the neighborhoods of Franklin to the Fort and Westside. Notably, incidents such as disorderly conduct and disturbances were frequent alongside a series of support calls for fires and medical assistance, heavily focusing around 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM.

Morning Activities

The pace of incidents didn’t slow with numerous welfare checks and suspicious activity alerts spanning across the core neighborhoods. Bold incidents of burglary alarms were noted in the morning, with a repeat alarm at a Westside location. Amongst significant occurrences, a vehicle versus pedestrian accident was reported multiple times in the same vicinity, suggesting extreme caution for those areas.

Afternoon Developments

The afternoon saw a continuation of morning patterns with disturbances and welfare checks, but with an added frequency of accidents involving injuries. This rising trend points to increased concerns about road safety in Missoula.

Evening Summary

By evening, the focus shifted slightly towards handling more privacy breaches and continuous disturbances, particularly in the Lewis & Clark and Heart of Missoula neighborhoods. Camping in the city violations were also registered, indicating ongoing issues with homelessness within the city.

Late Evening Overview

The day concluded with a spike in parking/junk vehicle complaints and disturbances across unreported neighborhoods, along with focused late-night patrols in the Southgate Triangle and River Road areas. Responsible agencies had to manage a mix of small and critical incidents like loud noise complaints and hazardous situations which peaked nearing midnight.
