Numerous Traffic Incidents and Welfare Checks Across the City
Early Morning Incidents
The day began with multiple incidents recorded across Missoula even before dawn. The Missoula Police Department (MPD) and Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to incidents ranging from shoplifting in Franklin to the Fort to multiple reports of suspicious activity in Two Rivers, Southgate Triangle, and Miller Creek. Notably, an assault with a weapon was reported in Riverfront.
Morning Activity
Activities shifted towards public welfare and traffic incidents as the morning progressed. There were significant calls for medical assistance and traffic-related issues, with welfare checks especially notable in the Heart of Missoula and Westside neighborhoods. Multiple agencies responded to accidents with and without injuries across different locations.
Afternoon Challenges
The afternoon saw a continuation of welfare checks and disturbances, with a string of medical calls, accidents, and public nuisances like noise complaints and hazardous conditions. The Heart of Missoula was particularly busy, with several calls for the fire department’s assistance.
