Multiple burglaries and welfare checks marked the day's trends.
Early Morning Incidents
Missoula police departments were active in the early hours with several incidents across the city. Notable events included multiple burglary alarms in Westside, Rose Park, and Captain John Mullan, alongside thefts and trespassing reports in Westside and Riverfront. A welfare check was initiated in Rose Park, while ‘Needs Officer’s Advice’ and medical support calls were seen in Northside and Heart of Missoula, respectively.
Morning Incidents
The morning saw a continuation of burglary alarms with reports from Southgate Triangle and Franklin to the Fort. Incidents of suspicious activity were recorded at various locations including multiple neighborhoods with unassigned areas. Shoplifting took a spike with reports from Captain John Mullan while the Westside faced multiple incidents including assaults and medical BLS calls. Multiple accidents with injuries were reported around Franklin to the Fort, intensifying public safety concerns.
Afternoon to Evening Incidents
By afternoon, Missoula saw diverse incidents ranging from vandalism in South 39th Street, disorderly conduct in Westside, to multiple cases of public assistance needed across Heart of Missoula and Franklin to the Fort. A surge in accidents with no injuries was observed in University District, followed by welfare checks and a notable incident of disorderly conduct as evening approached.
Late Evening to Night Incidents
As night fell, the incidents did not subside. There were multiple welfare checks particularly in Westside and Rose Park. Disturbances and suspicious activities were also heightened, with a distinct increase in the reports of shots heard in Moose Can Gully and a wildlands fire in Captain John Mullan. The day concluded with further incidents of noise complaints and a series of burglaries, adding to the strains on Missoula’s emergency services.
