Missoula Crime Report – July 5, 2025

Early Morning Incidents

Missoula law enforcement agencies reported several early morning events starting just after midnight. Incidents of fireworks were widespread across various neighborhoods including River Road, Westside, Northside, Rose Park, Southgate Triangle, and Northside again. Additionally, there were three separate reports of structure fires handled by the MCSO.

A notable amount of suspicious activities were reported in different areas such as Two Rivers, River Road, and Franklin to the Fort. Other incidents during this period included burglary alarms, assaults, thefts, and disturbances across the town.

Morning Activities

The morning hours continued to see a diversity of incidents. Law enforcement addressed assaults, medical calls, and reports of drugs, especially in Westside. “Camping in the City” violations were reported in Riverfront and Rose Park among other areas.

Suspicious activities were still prevalent with reports coming from the University District and Riverfront. Burglary alarms were also quite active, particularly in Lewis & Clark and Southgate Triangle.

Afternoon Developments

Afternoon incidents included a range of criminal activities from thefts in Westside to drug-related incidents in Franklin to the Fort. Traffic accidents were noted in greater numbers including several injury-related accidents in Riverfront.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Office handled multiple structure fires. The MCSO also responded to numerous welfare checks and domestic animal reports, primarily in undefined locations.

Evening Roundup

Evening hours were marked by disturbance calls in Franklin to the Fort, drugs and moving violations in various neighborhoods. Firework complaints surged again mostly reported by MPD in Riverfront and Westside. Missoula PD also responded to several disturbances and theft reports throughout the area.

Late Evening Overview

Late evening saw increased reports of loud noise complaints and disturbances, particularly in Rose Park and Franklin to the Fort. A few critical incidents involved structure fires managed by MCSO and pursuits related to reckless driving. Advice was sought from officers concerning varied issues across multiple districts.
