Gallatin County

Jurisdiction has delayed reporting.

Early Morning Activity

The majority of Gallatin County’s police activity occurred in the early morning hours, starting just after midnight. Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) was actively involved in several patrol checks across neighborhoods such as Cougar Park, Stadium Center, and Bear Creek. Notably, two coroner callouts were reported, one in Peakview at 01:22 am and another in West Post at 03:16 am, pointing to serious incidents requiring official investigation.

Traffic stops were frequent during these hours, particularly in Bear Creek where multiple stops were logged. This neighborhood also saw a variety of other activities including a disorderly conduct report and a motor vehicle accident. The repeated patrol checks hint at heightened police presence in several areas, possibly in response to recent concerns or ongoing investigations.

Late Morning to Early Afternoon

As morning progressed, the activity didn’t slow down. Traffic-related incidents, from simple stops to traffic crimes, were significant, particularly in Bear Creek and Apollo neighborhoods. The Bear Creek area was again a focal point, further highlighted by a traffic accident and multiple follow-up reports that likely stemmed from earlier incidents or ongoing issues.

Other neighborhoods like Spanish Meadows and River Rock also reported various incidents including a welfare check and several civil disputes, indicating a busy day for GCSO across multiple locations. Patrol checks continued robustly into the late morning across different neighborhoods.

Late Afternoon Trends

The pace of incidents continued into the afternoon, with Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office handling a range of activities from patrol checks to specific calls like fireworks in Apollo and a sexual crime report in Westfield. The variety of incidents underscores the diverse nature of calls that GCSO addresses daily.

Special Mention

Among the more severe incidents noted, there were medical emergencies and assistance in serious accidents involving multiple agencies. These emergencies required coordinated responses from several units including the Bozeman Police Department (BPD), making up a critical part of the day’s emergency responses.
