Missoula County
Early Morning Incidents
The early hours in Missoula were markedly active, with multiple incidents reported across the county. The Missoula Police Department (MPD) responded to several burglary alarms in the Captain John Mullan area, each incident being reported at precisely the same time, suggesting a possible malfunction or coordination issue. Additionally, various neighborhoods including Northside and River Road dealt with hazards, while the Westside saw multiple instances of medical transfers necessitated by early morning medical emergencies.
Morning Activities
Morning incidents escalated with diverse reports ranging from ‘Hazards’ across multiple neighborhoods to ‘Suspicious Activity’ with some details not disclosed due to location obscurities. Notably, the MPD handled several ‘Camping in the City’ complaints and the necessary welfare checks associated with transient activities. University District saw a disturbance report which was promptly addressed by the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
Afternoon Responses
The MCSO and MPD were engaged in various incidents during the afternoon. ‘Medical Calls’ were common, particularly in the Westside, presumably due to the localized demand for emergency services. Aggressive behavior led to assaults reported in several neighborhoods, with Rose Park experiencing multiple ‘Accident – Injury’ incidents back-to-back, suggesting a chaotic traffic situation or a series of unfortunate events.
Evening to Late Night
The evening bore similar unrest with ‘Suspicious Activities’ dominating the blotter in various neighborhoods such as Lewis & Clark and followed by the consistent need for ‘Person Needs Assistance’ calls. Some notable criminal activities, involving assault and fraud, were recorded in the Heart of Missoula towards the late evening. The day rounded off with frequent traffic-related incidents and DUI checks, indicating a busy night for local law enforcement.
