HELENA, MT — Retired Lt. Col. Darin Gaub, a decorated U.S. Army veteran and Blackhawk helicopter pilot, has released his first book, “Veritas Vincit: A Soldier’s Perspective on Truth, Faith, Family, and Freedom,” now available on Amazon.

The book draws from Gaub’s nearly 30 years of military service, including four combat tours in Afghanistan as a helicopter pilot and battalion commander. Rather than a traditional memoir, “Veritas Vincit” presents a collection of essays reflecting on leadership, liberty, and core values.

“This book is for anyone who feels a deep sense of responsibility to truth, faith, and country,” said Gaub. “We are living through a pivotal time in American history, and I wrote Veritas Vincit to offer clarity, purpose, and hope for those who still believe the truth matters.”

Lt. Col. Darin L. Gaub (USA, Ret.)

Gaub served as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and battalion commander during his distinguished military career, earning multiple commendations for his leadership under fire. Since retiring from the Army, he has worked as a geopolitical strategist and national media commentator.

Since the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, Gaub has conducted more than 1,000 television, radio, and print interviews, providing analysis on military operations, geopolitical risk, and national defense issues. His commentary has appeared across major broadcast, print, and online platforms including FOX News, FOX Business, Newsmax, Yahoo News, and American Warrior Radio.

The book, released June 15, is available in hardback, paperback, and Kindle formats. Gaub has previously contributed political commentary, including pieces on Montana politics that have been republished by regional outlets including Western Montana News and The Montana Sentinel.

“Drawing from nearly 30 years of military service—including four tours in Afghanistan as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and battalion commander—Lt. Col. Gaub weaves together battlefield wisdom, faith-driven insight, and unapologetic patriotism,” according to the book’s promotional materials.

The book’s title, “Veritas Vincit,” translates to “Truth Conquers” in Latin, reflecting themes that run throughout Gaub’s collection of essays on American values and leadership principles developed through decades of military service.
