HELENA, Mont. — Montanans for Life has launched a mobile app designed to help pro-life advocates communicate and organize across the state, particularly during legislative sessions.

The free app, available on both Android and Apple devices, aims to address communication challenges that advocacy groups face when trying to mobilize supporters on legislative issues.

“Emails get lost and go unread, phone calls go to voicemail, and texting apps are prohibitively expensive,” according to the organization’s press release. “Social media platforms can decide whether or not to allow your important call-to-action post to go out, or to shadow ban you.”

The Montanans for Life app provides users with features including legislative discussions, access to virtual meetings, document downloads, news sharing, and event notifications. The organization says the platform is designed to work effectively even in Montana’s remote areas.

“The goal is to allow a private, yet easily accessed portal for people to connect and get engaged, even in remote areas,” the organization stated.

The app launch comes as advocacy groups increasingly seek alternatives to traditional social media platforms for political organizing. By creating their own platform, Montanans for Life aims to maintain direct communication with supporters without concerns about content moderation or algorithm changes that might limit message reach.

Users can download the app from the Google Play store for Android devices or the App Store for Apple devices.

The organization developed the app “after much prayer and research” as a solution to overcome communication barriers that have hindered grassroots advocacy efforts during legislative sessions.
