Missoula County

Early Morning

Missoula Police Department (MPD) responded to a sequence of incidents starting just after midnight. Activities were widespread, beginning with a disturbance in the Heart of Missoula, followed closely by multiple medical and welfare checks across the county. Notably, several incidents of suspicious activity and domestic animal-related calls were also reported within the early hours. These incidents included domestic animal-related calls in Franklin to the Fort and a burglary alarm in Rose Park.

Morning

The morning hours saw a palette of non-criminal and criminal activities spanning from traffic-related incidents in Southgate Triangle to a continued pattern of suspicious activities across the Westside, signaling a common theme of security concerns in the area. Hazards in Northside and parking issues in Upper Rattlesnake were among the numerous municipal incidents replied to by MPD.

Afternoon

The afternoon reported multiple public service calls like welfare checks and person needs assistance, with notable events like vehicle fires in Franklin to the Fort. The Westside, University District, and Moose Can Gully were also some neighborhoods that experienced numerous calls, including for accidents with no injuries and the day’s first reports of disorderly conduct.

Evening

By evening, public safety activities remained vigilant with various incidents such as wildlands fire in the Heart of Missoula and neighboring regions, shoplifting in Captain John Mullan, and escalating medical calls, one leading to an accident with injuries in Moose Can Gully. Furthermore, the continuous engagement of welfare checks across several neighborhoods indicated an ongoing need for vigilance and responsive action in community welfare.

Late Evening

Into the late hours, the region saw heightened levels of advisories and assistant demands, with a grafting concern for accidents leading to injuries and a burglary event in Westside providing a stark reminder of persistent public safety challenges. Moreover, drug-related incidents in Westside indicated the potential focus areas for law enforcement moving forward.
