Missoula County
Early Morning
Missoula started the day with multiple incidents. MPD responded to a domestic animal concern in the Riverfront neighborhood and two cases of camping in the city, which were reported in Heart of Missoula and Franklin to the Fort neighborhoods. MCSO addressed a trespassing incident without a specified location. Several alarms and disturbances were also noted, with MPD handling a burglary alarm in Riverfront and disturbances in Heart of Missoula. The morning concluded with numerous early calls, including assistance by MPD and MCSO during a fire in Upper Rattlesnake and multiple welfare checks and injury accidents overseen by both agencies across various neighborhoods.
Morning
The morning hours remained busy, seeing a concentration of medical BLS calls, drug-related incidents, and various assistance activities in multiple neighborhoods including Westside, Moose Can Gully, and Heart of Missoula. Highlighting the period, there were frequent reports of accidents with injuries across different areas such as Rose Park and the University District, emphasizing traffic-related issues throughout the city.
Afternoon
As the day progressed into the afternoon, Missoula witnessed a mix of disturbing conduct and emergency responses. Notable was the persistent response to camping in the city violations and several instances of disorderly conduct in Heart of Missoula. Also, MCSO and MPD dealt with multiple accident reports and community assistance requests, such as person needs assistance and welfare checks that spread across Westside, Riverfront, and other heavily populated areas.
Evening
The evening hours saw a continuation of the day’s patterns with further disturbances, suspicious activities, thefts, and welfare checks, primarily overseen by MPD and occuring in central neighborhoods like Heart of Missoula, Franklin to the Fort, and Southgate Triangle. One of the standout incidents in the evening included a repeated response to a wildlands fire in the Southgate Triangle area, handled by MPD.
Late Evening
The late evening was marked by disturbances and missing person reports; notably, three missing person cases were filed between Heart of Missoula and unspecified locations. Additionally, the day closed out with an assault in Rose Park and suspicious activities around South 39th Street, managed by MPD.
