Early Morning Incidents
The early hours were marked by multiple occurrences of disturbances and urgent interventions mainly in the Heart of Missoula and Grant Creek areas. The Missoula Police Department responded to a significant number of bar/building checks (five incidents) and person to be removed calls (four incidents combined from these neighborhoods).
MCSO attended to a few cases involving suspicious activities and driving under the influence at Heart of Missoula, highlighting increased vigilance during these hours.
Morning Activity
The morning hours witnessed a slight decrease in disturbances, but the trend of notable incidents in Heart of Missoula continued. Noteworthy are the multiple disturbances and disorderly conduct cases, alongside recovered stolen property and the enforcement of various welfare checks across different neighborhoods, including Northside and Westside.
Afternoon Engagements
Into the afternoon, the pattern of high activity persisted in Heart of Missoula with Shoplifting, Suspicious Activity, and Assault being addressed. Notably, there were also several accident-related incidents across the University District and Southgate Triangle, which were managed without severe injuries reported.
Evening to Late Evening Overview
As evening set in, focus areas were Disorderly Conduct and Theft, particularly notable in the Westside neighborhood, which also saw a variety of calls from disturbances to theft. Late evening rounded off with more suspicious activities reported in the Westside and Captain John Mullan areas.
The day exhibited consistent engagement with law enforcement across different neighborhoods, indicating an ongoing effort to manage disturbances actively, including both non-violent and violent crime types.
