Missoula Police Department (MPD) and Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) handled several incidents early on October 25. Notable events included multiple instances of medical transfers and medical standbys primarily in the Captain John Mullan neighborhood, managed by MPD. Additionally, two driving under the influence cases were recorded, with one specifically in the Heart of Missoula.

Westside saw a cluster of activity with reports of suspicious activity, a welfare check, and vandalism. The University District and Grant Creek also experienced suspicious activity coinciding with a series of disturbances throughout the city including a noise complaint and multiple disturbance calls.

MPD responded to several burglary alarms in different neighborhoods, including a late-night incident in the River Road area. The early hours also saw various traffic-related incidents, with accidents primarily recorded in Captain John Mullan. Criminal mischief was noted in both early and late segments of the day, without a specific neighborhood trend.

Morning Through Afternoon

The morning hours saw continual police activity with repeat medical calls in Westside and a robbery in Southgate Triangle. Assistance was frequently required, with multiple calls concerning persons needing assistance throughout Missoula. Captain John Mullan experienced a series of more severe incidents including thefts and a hit and run accident.

Fish and game incidents were particularly frequent today, marked by several calls in areas without specific neighborhood designation, reflecting a wide-area coverage by MCSO. MPS also dealt with a variety of burglary alarms, disturbances, and welfare checks, further indicating a day filled with miscellaneous but persistent law enforcement necessities.

Late Evening Developments

The evening concluded with more focused incidents such as an injury accident in Captain John Mullan, domestic animal issues in the Heart of Missoula, and continued reports of shoplifting from Franklin to the Fort. Suspicious activities tapered into the late evening with incidents in Lewis & Clark and Westside.
