BOZEMAN — Montana State University expects to confer 1,006 degrees during its 143rd commencement ceremony, which will be held at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.

Doors will open to the public at 8:30 a.m., and the processional will begin at 9:40 a.m.

This fall semester, the Office of the Registrar expects degrees to be awarded to 805 undergraduates, 117 master’s students and 30 doctoral students. A total of 54 Gallatin College MSU students are expected to receive associate degrees or certificates. The 121 graduate students who received degrees during the summer session are also eligible to participate in the fall commencement ceremony.

To quicken entry into the event, the university requests, but does not require, that graduates and guests leave bags and belongings in their vehicles. Cellphones and keys may remain in pockets when passing through metal detectors.

The ceremony will also be livestreamed. A link to watch the event will be live on the commencement website.

On the day of commencement, parking will be free in all campus lots. Bobcat lots 10 and 15 are closest to the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. Visit the campus parking website for available parking locations.
