Gallatin County

Jurisdiction has delayed reporting.

Early Morning Incidents

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) was active in the early hours of December 15, 2025, responding primarily to a variety of routine checks and traffic-related incidents across the county. Starting just after midnight, the night was punctuated by multiple patrol checks in neighborhoods such as Bear Creek, 4-Dot Meadows, Buffalo Creek, and Mountain View, among others.

A theft was reported at 4-Dot Meadows around 12:40 am, followed by quick responses including traffic stops and another patrol check. Similarly, in Apollo and Bear Creek, security and administrative checks were conducted. Noteworthy was a coroner callout in Galactic Park at 4:13 am, adding a sober note to the otherwise routine early morning patrol activities.

The GCSO also handled several incidents requiring public assistance and followed up on previous cases during this period. Traffic stops were notably frequent, especially in areas like 4-Dot Meadows and Bear Creek, reflecting a concentrated effort on traffic enforcement.

Morning Activities

As the morning unfolded, the emphasis on traffic enforcement continued. Bear Creek, a prominent focus, saw a range of activities from public assists to a medical emergency, alongside ongoing patrol checks. The GCSO also responded to civil disputes and animal-related calls, with incidents peaking between 6:00 am and 9:00 am.

Notable were multiple civil incidents in 4-Dot Meadows, security checks, and ongoing follow-ups related to previous cases. Traffic crimes in Apollo and Peakview were addressed, and the law enforcement agencies remained proactive with regular patrol checks through neighborhoods such as Vista Meadows and Downtown.

Afternoon Overview

The early afternoon hours remained busy with continued traffic stops and patrol checks. Bear Creek again stood out with several traffic stops and agency assists. A disturbance in Woodland Park and a motor vehicle accident in Ferguson Farm were among the serious incidents managed by the GCSO.

In Bear Creek, the frequent patrol checks seem to form part of a broader pattern to maintain presence and vigilance, which persisted into the evening with further traffic stops and specialized checks. Overall, the day was marked by a mix of routine public safety operations interspersed with a few notable incidents requiring more dedicated response from the Gallatin County law enforcement teams.
