Missoula County
Substantial Activity After Midnight and Early Morning
Overview
Missoula saw a significant flurry of activity as the day began, particularly notable in early hours and the morning. Multiple neighborhoods reported multiple incidents ranging from medical emergencies to accidents and disturbances across the county. The Missoula Police Department (MPD) and the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a variety of calls, reflecting diverse public safety demands.
Early Morning Incidents
The early morning hours were busy particularly in neighborhoods like Franklin to the Fort and Grant Creek. Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) instances were prominent with Franklin to the Fort reporting multiple counts of Medical CPR. At Grant Creek, several injury-related accidents were noted. Intimidation cases were addressed by MCSO, and a burglary alarm was handled by MPD in the Two Rivers area.
Morning Activities
Continuing the day, the Missoula police dealt with various crime reports including shoplifting and assault with a weapon, particularly across Westside where three such assaults were reported. Vehicle-related complaints and non-injury accidents were primarily concentrated in areas like Grant Creek and Captain John Mullan.
Afternoon to Evening Summary
Afternoon saw a continuation of medical emergencies and the assistance to outside agencies, with disturbances peaking possibly related to the increase in outdoor activities in neighborhoods such as Westside and Heart of Missoula. Noteworthy were three reported structure fires in Westside and several cases of disturbances needing police intervention across different neighborhoods.
Evening Overview
In the evening, the crime rate did not subside significantly with rampant drug-related issues, theft, and multiple instances of harassment being tackled. The Westside again was a hotspot for various activities including both criminal and non-criminal incidents. In Riverfront, multiple responses to driving under the influence were recorded.
