Variety of incidents reported across multiple neighborhoods
Early Morning Incidents
Missoula Police Department (MPD) and Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to several incidents, including three assault cases in Grant Creek reported at the same time, indicating multiple units were involved. Additionally, a number of disturbances and suspicious activities were noted particularly in the neighborhoods of Heart of Missoula, Rose Park, and Riverfront. Noteworthy, there were multiple reports of loud noise complaints and welfare checks across various areas.
Morning Trends
A series of medical calls categorized as Basic Life Support were attended by MPD in Rose Park. Various neighborhoods saw a mix of assistance needed by outside agencies, hazardous situations, and welfare checks. Incidents like burglary alarms and disturbances also peppered the morning hours, with Rose Park and Heart of Missoula observing notable activity.
Afternoon Roundup
The afternoon brought a mix of non-criminal incidents and more severe cases such as accidents with injuries — numerous reports were categorized under MCSO across unspecified areas. There were also several fires reported, especially affecting the neighborhoods of Captain John Mullan and Northside. The occurrences of camping in the city were specially noted in Westside and Grant Creek.
Evening and Late Evening
As the day progressed into evening and late evening, there was an increase in incidents involving the need for officer’s advice and disturbances in the neighborhoods of Riverfront and Westside. Numerous welfare checks and assistance for persons needing help dominated the service calls in these hours. Furthermore, several accidents resulting in injuries occurred around this time.
