Missoula County

A String of Medical, Fire Incidents, and Accidents Across Missoula

Early Morning Activities

The Missoula Police Department (MPD) and Missoula County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) handled numerous incidents during the early hours. Multiple advanced life support medical calls were recorded, three of which lacked specific neighborhood data, indicating wide-reaching issues.
In addition, the Westside area reported a burglary alarm and a case of illegal camping.
Further calls included a welfare check and hazards report from MCSO with the exact locations not disclosed.

Morning Response

Morning hours remained busy with MPD and MCSO addressing issues like accidents without injuries across several districts, most notably in the University District and Captain John Mullan area. Disorderly conducts in Northside and Grant Creek showed a pattern of civil unrest early in the day.
A notable surge in medical transfer activities focused in the Southgate Triangle, while River Road witnessed a sequence of structure fires that raised concerns about safety.
Incidents of assaults and theft were prominent in the Heart of Missoula, hinting at rising crime rates in this central neighborhood.

Afternoon Confrontations

The afternoon was marked by frequent calls regarding personal assistance, with multiple cases in River Road indicating possible systemic issues in this area. Westside saw a mix of civil complaints and abandoned vehicle reports, while Two Rivers struggled with a string of five accidents involving injuries, which is unusual and may reflect hazardous driving conditions or increased traffic challenges in this part of Missoula.

Evening Unrest

As the day progressed into the evening, incidents didn’t dwindle. Heart of Missoula and Northside were notable for drug-related problems and physical assaults. The continuation of custodial or visitation interference reports from MCSO hinted at ongoing domestic challenges in undisclosed neighborhoods.

Late-Night Tensions

Late evening brought reports of wildland fires complicating the duties of MPD in Captain John Mullan and other areas without specific neighborhood data. Disturbances and harassment in Franklin to the Fort and the Heart of Missoula capped off a fraught day across the city.
