HELENA, Mont. – At the annual Made in Montana Trade Show in Helena, Marketplace on Main, LLC, a distinguished local business from Cut Bank, was awarded the 2025 Retailer of the Year. Presented by Montana’s Lt. Gov. Kristen Juras and the Montana Department of Commerce Acting Director Mandy Rambo, this accolade is a testament to the enterprise’s significant contribution to the local economy.

Marketplace on Main, run by lifelong Montanans Lisa and Rod Cline, features an array of authentic Made in Montana products. The business emerged from a renovation project in October 2022, transforming an old office building into a thriving retail hub for over 70 vendors, many of whom are based in Glacier County. “This award recognizes the hard work and passion Rod and I have for supporting local talent and businesses,” said Lisa Cline.

“Rod and I are lifelong Montanans who believe in the talent of those in our state, as well as our local area,” said Cline. “When we bought an old, nearly vacant office building on Cut Bank’s Main Street in October of 2022, we immediately made plans to open a Made in Montana-themed store. We opened in March of 2023, and we built a small business made entirely of other small businesses. Our store manager, Jacey Hannon, has been with us every step of the way.”

The trade show also celebrated other businesses, with awards given to Montana Gluten-Free Prairie, LLC for Best in Show Overall, and Stonefly Studio, LLC earning an Honorable Mention. Newcomer, Roots & Shoots, received the Best in Show New Exhibitor for their all-natural hygiene products.

Each year, Montana retailers are nominated by their peers to receive the Retailer of the Year Award.

The Made in Montana program, celebrating over four decades, continues to foster growth and recognition for local manufacturers.
