Missoulian Reporter Hansen Solicits Only Positive Feedback for Puff Piece on Child Vaccines

Missoulian reporter Jordan Hansen filed a report Tuesday stating that “all” parents, doctors, and health officials were “excited” to get 5-11-year-olds vaccinated after soliciting feedback only from parents who planned to vaccinate their children.

On November 3rd, Hansen took to Twitter requesting interviews with parents who were, “looking to get their kids vaxxed [sic] with that new approval having come through.”

On November 9th, six days later, Hansen tweeted a report he filed with the Missoulian titled, “Parents, health officials excited about COVID childhood vaccinations.” In the tweet, Hansen shared, “I wrote about COVID vaccines for those aged 5 to 11. And, guess what? Parents, doctors and health officials are all pretty excited to get kids vaxxed.”

In Hansen’s report, he provided no interviews with parents who were skeptical about the vaccination or from medical professionals like Dr. Peter McCullough who are warning the public about the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis from the vaccine.

Hansen’s prejudice calls into question his integrity as a reporter and his ability to report accurately and fairly regarding a controversial topic. Several individuals including users on Twitter described Hansen’s actions as “propaganda” for Pfizer vaccines more than a real report on parents thoughts regarding the vaccination of 5-11-year-olds.

One Twitter user who replied to Hansen with our report on the nearly 1:1 ratio of myocarditis cases created for every 5-11-year-old COVID-19 hospitalization avoided. Hansen hid the reply so that others could not see the story.

After hiding the report, Hansen, bizarrely, retweeted the reply saying that the data collected in the vaccine benefit-risk assessment from Pfizer and submitted to the Food and Drug Administration “isn’t true” and implored his followers “for the absolute love of god [sic]” to “stop reading Missoula County Tyranny.”
